What service do I need?

Copyediting

Copyediting takes place earlier in the publication process than proofreading. Once you have a completed manuscript, copyediting will pick up on inconsistencies, unclear phrasing, and ensure your writing is doing what you want it to.

This stage is slightly more hands on, and may involve suggestions for rewriting or rephrasing in some places.

We can discuss how hands on you would like me to be in terms of suggestions.

Proofreading

Proofreading is a quicker process, and occurs just before publication. It should only be undertaken when all edits of the manuscript have been performed.

This stage will check spelling and grammar accuracies and consistencies, formatting, and ensure it is adhering to the specified style guide.
